National University Los Angeles- Generic Entry BSN- Cohort 22 (October 2019)

Published

Hi guys! I applied to Cohort 22 for the Generic BSN at the LA campus of National University. I am so anxious to be taking the essay but obviously I still don’t have an appointment date since we haven’t reached the application deadline. I’m super anxious about getting in because I’m not the best writer especially under pressure. I think I do have a great GPA and TEAS scores though. Hopefully, we can start this thread and give updates in our nursing journey. Good luck!

Hopefully a lot of people who were accepted found out in time. Thank you guys for telling us to call and find out. I got my acceptance letter in my spam mail too. Luckily I was checking today.

Does anyone know how many units is the program? I'm seeing it's 93.5 units based on the Preparation for the Major and Nursing Core courses on the pdf on the website. I'm trying to figure out the final price of the program. I've been given a few different prices and trying to finalize things.

Yeah I been having a hard time as well. I’m going to see if i can talk to a counselor this friday

I have no medical experience I hope I make it in the program yikes

You will be fine. Do not let anything or anyone intimidate you.

Looks like the price of tuition has increased

How did you find out the price? how much is it??

they messaged us on the portal.. the message is long, but the portion below tells us the increase. I wasn't sure what the total cost of the program was.. now I'm even more confused.

The adjustments include a moderate tuition difference of $18 per quarter unit. There will also be a revised fee structure for incoming students, which averages an additional $415 for each required Nursing course for all new BSN students. We are aware that this is a departure from the initial cost you may have planned for, based on NU's previous tuition/fee scale, and our Student Finance Team is available to speak with you at 858-642-8500 to discuss your next steps, as well as other financial resources that may have available to you.

Has everyone completed their castle branch requirements??? I still have some paperwork to upload and I am stressing out.

I just need to do my titers and step2 of my TB. Not everything is due before the first orientation I think. I think the main one is the background check.

Im still waiting for my drug and background tests to post...the paperwork said we have until August 12 but the email days August 7th. It's super confusing....

As long as you did the background check and drug test before the 12th, I think you are fine. It's the only thing that takes awhile. They just want that done before first orientation
