Hey guys! I made this thread for everyone who was accepted into Cohort 15, starting in October 2015 at the Fresno campus. Congratulations, guys! We did it! We got in! I don't know about ya'll, but I'm beyond excited and thankful! Let's chat! Can't wait to meet you all! =)

Im so glad I found this thread . I know Im a little behind but please help if you have any advice

I just graduated with a B.S in Health Care Administration from CSULB. I just realized I want to be a nurse

Looking into the ACCELERATED NURSING PROGRAM at NU Fresno Has me super excited.

My only problems are finding the exact prereq's that I need as well as Which classes from my school will transfer over. I usually use assist.org but I don't see national university on the list

Also the teas what does it cover and how can I prepare for it now?

And when do I apply after I take the pre-req's is it better to take them at NU or a community college.

And when the factor the GPA will it be from my entire B.S schooling or specific classes?

The best way to know which pre-reqs you still need to take is to talk to a counselor. I talked to a counselor at National University and showed her my transcript to see what pre-reqs I'll need.

To review for the TEAS VI version test, but the book with 2 practice tests at ATI's website. The practice tests will help you be familiar with the test format and it times you too since you have certain minutes per subject.

It depends on your finance or preference where to take the pre-reqs, I took mine at NU since I did not have much pre-reqs to do. Probably take at least one subject at NU so you'll be familiar with the pace for one course/subject.

The GPA is based on certain math and science subjects. When you apply for the nursing program, you have to attend a pre-nursing online forum where they will explain the application process in detail.

Specializes in FUTURE RN.
