National University CRNA 2024

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

I applied to the 2024 cohort. Starting the thread early and eagerly awaiting to hear back about an interview. Anyone else apply?!

I reached out to a friend currently in the program asking if he has heard anything and the likelihood of us hearing something next week. He responded with this: " I know I'd want honesty, so if you didn't get it today it's probably unlikely. They said this year they had the most ever apply, over 420 people. they accepted 27 people. I think they sent all the acceptances today ? " ?

Does anyone else who got an acceptance and is coming from out of state currently not have a CA RN license? The email stated we need one for the entire duration of the program, and I'm just a little concerned with the timeline since the CA BON is notoriously slow. Has anyone gotten a license recently and can shed some light on the temporary licensure process and how fast it occurs?

Mine took nine months, but I would guess you'd be OK with getting it into the didactic timeline. I would assume we needed it for Clinicals more so.

A friend of mine said that the APD notified them (current cohort) that all the invites have been sent out. Unfortunately, if we didn't receive one, it means we didn't get in. I'm so bummed.

FYI-Make sure to check the spam folders. Some invites get sent to promotion folder in gmail. That was something else that was stated.

What about all the rejection and waitlist emails then?

DON.. you are the sweetest person ever for saying this ?? . Thank you and congrats!! You'll do amazing and your cohort is lucky to have you!

I applied last year and was rejected, persisted, came back and improved. Sometimes the rejection can be a way to learn more so we can be more prepared for it the next year. I hope to do well, thank you for the kind words??

Well congrats to everyone that got in, and welcome to dealing with the wonderful world of MDA trolls like Dr. Propfoolishness. If you aren't aware of the hate in anesthesia for CRNA's, just look at the Noctor forum. They are not above going around and spreading discontent amongst SRNA's. Pay no mind to the haters or cocky fools on here, they are MOST definitely a trolls. Congrats to those who go into the program, enjoy this moment you've worked hard for it, your future cohort can be your greatest friends and allies don't go into this process thinking you've got knuckle heads in your class. Enjoy the up coming months, the real work is about to begin.

Hi, Dr. MacKinnon

I got my acceptance yesterday, and got the on the spot offer after my interview! good luck to those still waiting to get in! and can't wait to meet everyone in January!

Congrats to everyone who made it in to the program! I unfortunately didn't receive anything so I imagine that's a wrap. I'll have to retake the pre-reqs and get back into the fight next year ?I might even look into an advanced physiology class somewhere. Best of luck, and remember to smile or you're doing it wrong!
