National University Cohort 65

Published

Hey Y’all!
I had to push back my application date to this cohort! I have yet to take my TEAS test, but my GPA is a 3.3 currently. Glad to “meet you all”

Hi all, I have 3.2 GPA, and I haven't taken my TEAS. I will be applying for cohort 67 because I am retaking one of my prerequisites.

Hello Everyone!

Im applying to Cohort 65 with an Accumulative 3.0 GPA. Science GPA 3.3 TEAS 80.7 %.
I am currently taking Biomedical Stats right now praying I can get a A to raise my science GPA most importantly. My scores are a little discouraging compared to all you smart people!?

Hello Jessica! I'll be applying for Cohort 66 in November. We pretty much have the same stats. I got all B's in my Anatomy, Physio, and Micro. I start Biostat in August and will be taking my TEAS. So let me know if you get in! Good luck!

PS. I just got off the phone with my advisor and expressed how I felt with my grades. He said there's nothing to worry about especially if I got all Bs in my science classes. They get scared when they see a C. So be confident!

HEY EVERYONE!! im currently accepted for cohort 64 and just wanted to let yall know that if you take the TEAS online at home, and then retake it within the same week (could be longer), they give you the same questions. I took it on a Wednesday and then that Friday again and it was the same questions. I was confused and thought id messed up but when I called about it, they said they just scramble the question order. I took one with palm desert and one with sdsu and only sent national my second (higher, obvi) score.

I didn't know you could retake the TEAS within the same week. Are they doing the TEAS exam at home? I'm planning to take it before I apply in November for cohort 66.

@Future_RN_2020 TEAS or ATI is now offering online proctored exams either through local schools (SDSU's testing center or Desert College) or online through PSI where an online proctor watches you while you take the test.

@Doja_RN I am applying to 65, right now my science GPA is 3.86 and my cumulative is 3.788. TEAS is scheduled for 7/25! I am so nervous!

How about you?

Thank you for responding. I just emailed National U Nursing department about their policy and requirements. Do you know how long it takes to schedule for an exam? I plan on taking it before November but I want to make sure I have enough time.

@Future_RN_2020 when I booked my date mid June they were booking out for July/aug times...

If I were you and applying to 66 in Nov I would suggest looking online for scheduled times mid/late September just to ensure you adequate options for times?

Hi! I’m applying to 65 with a 3.45 GPA and my TEAS is scheduled for 7/27. I’m really excited/nervous, too! I have hospital experience and feel I would do well at the interview. But I will have to get a high TEAS score to be competitive.

How’s studying going for you so far?

Hey, current stats are 3.3 GPA and taking my TEAS on the 31st I have a mix of As and Bs, but I was told I need to bring up my GPA to 3.6 and an 86 on the TEAS to be competitive. Just a heads up.

Any tips/methods to study for TEAS?

I still have to take biostats and info literacy, so I won't have enough time to retake one of my classes before the deadline in November.

I have emailed the National U's Nursing Department and they said "there aren't any particular score that is required but the average score of those getting accepted into the program range anywhere from 83% to 89%". IDK what that means but the averages for the latest cohort are:

TEAS: 85.38 for cohort 62

TEAS: 85 for cohort 63

TEAS: 87.5 for cohort 64

does anybody know how they calculate the science/math GPA, TEAS and interview score?

40 points for GPA (A&P,micro,biostats)

40 points for TEAS

20 points for interview

that’s how they will calculate your admission points.

last cohort cutoff was 88 points.
