National University Cohort 62 San Diego

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Just wanted to make a thread for aspiring nurses who are applying to cohort 62 at National University in San Diego!

How does everyone feel about their interview? Curious what kinds of questions everyone else got. I had why choose National? What made you decide to become a nurse? What would you do if you overheard a group of students discussing something inappropriate? And how do I feel about diversity in the work place? I feel like I had at least one or two more but I can't remember them now. I also asked two or three questions at the end. I'm feeling good but you never know! Anxious.

Honestly I’m not feeling great ? I was the last interview of the day and I kind of felt like my interviewers were a little fatigued!
they asked me why I chose national, what made me want to be a nurse, my experience with a diverse patient population and the different ways to communicate with a sick patient. The last one threw me off a little bit. I’m soooooOoOooooOOOO nervous. I hope we hear back soon!!!

Oh yea they asked me how I would communicate with a patient without speaking. My interview was scheduled at 1120. What time was yours? Now that I read that last cohort heard only after two days I'm much more anxious. ? We could hear before the end of the week!

I'm gonna wait till I get a notification for this forum that someone has gotten a email and then check. Otherwise I'll go nuts rechecking.

Mine was at 2:40 but I went in at about 2:30. She said they would ask 5 questions but I’m 99% positive I only got asked 4! I felt a little bit like I was scrambling for answers but I’m also VERY self critical lol.
i know I’m assuming we’re going to hear by the end of the week which isn’t good because if we don’t I’ll be disappointed! The anticipation is a killer.

It really is! I'm sure you did great. Good luck to us all. I prepped a lot for the interview but couldn't help the nerves. Crossing fingers for this week! Now back to work, not like I'll get an email at 2am. Lol.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that. Mines was at 2:00 but they took me way early. Do you have prior healthcare experience? I think they asked there questions based upon whether You have prior experience or not.

I am overly critical so I immediately started picking mine apart. I should've said x instead of y, I was too chatty, etc. I hope it all works out and I'm sure that the others in here that are like me did well. It's always nerve wracking to have to wait for a life changing result.

What questions were you asked?

I was asked why I wanted to be a nurse, why did I choose Nationals program, why is diversity in healthcare important, how do nurses help to shape the healthcare industry, and how can non verbal communication affect the dynamic between the nurse and the patient.
