National Telemetry Assoc Certificate worth while?

Hi everyone, I'm a new nurse (RN) grad and like so many others I have been having trouble finding a job so I'm trying to do anything I can to give myself a leg up so I've been looking into different certificates that I can get. The national telemetry association has a certificate (not certification). Is it worthwhile to get or will potential employers wonder why I have it since I did have some telemetry training in school. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Maybe I'm wrong but their site seems sort of shady... And when I google it the only results are from that site. I'd be wary of it - it may just be a meaningless certificate aimed at taking your money.

I started out as a new grad on a telemetry unit last year. Part of orientation was a telemetry class taught by the nurse educator. After this I was capable for sitting as the monitor tech (who is not usually an RN). If you haven't already, it would be worth your while to get your ACLS certification. This will train you to recognize rhythms and make you more attractive to employers. Make sure you get the cert from the American Heart Association and not some other online school. I searched for online ACLS but realized the only way to do it legit is to physically go take a class somewhere.

There is also an AHA EKG and Pharmacology certificate you can get. I got mine bundled with ACLS from the same instructor. It adds on another day, but it's another line in your resume you can add for recruiters to gloss over while they think about where to go for lunch.
