Does anybody know or a web link perhaps on this data? Just curious....I hear people say RN pay in florida sucks but I'm wondering how about other states?Surely some states will pay similar to FL minus the amenities FL can offer.

Nursing magazine publishes regional and state information every year and I've noticed that Florida's pretty competative with the other states in the South East and even the MidWest. But we certainly can't compete with the NW Coast, California and the NE states.

Does that info also take into account the cost of living here and in other higher paid states?
I don't think so, I think it mainly speaks to salary. Like other professions the areas with the higher costs of living offer the highest nursing salaries.
Here's an example of a salary comparison.

California
$54070
Connecticut
$49480
New York
$50470
Massachusetts

Florida

Pennsylvania
$43510
Ohio

Michigan
$45500
Louisiana
