Nassau Community College (NCC) - Spring 2026

Published

Hi! Is anyone applying this Spring this semester ?
How many points do you have? Do you have any information about last semesters statistics? Thanks!

Back again with more questions! It seems that one of the pre-reqs are in history for western civilization? It seems that this is taken before NUR 101. Haven't applied but am curious to know if we take this prior to applying to the program or once you are accepted? TIA!

So I just got into the nursing program and they are making me take this class in empire before I go into Nursing 101. That and two more classes before I get into nursing 101.

Also, I think you become enrolled in Empire State once you get into the nursing program. So wouldn't have known how to take the history class before that.

What are the other classes needed for Nursing 101?

I had 'life span and human development' left to take, the only prerequisite left for me have all other 9/10. Plus this one 'ALLH Contemporary Applications of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Social Justice in Healthcare.'

I was just about to ask if everyone was allowed to take Nursing 101 from Spring semester because they told me I have to take it next semester.

Oh okay, that makes sense then if the program also follows the outline of classes for empire. If you don't mind me asking, what were your scores like? Did you have more than a 6 of the pre-req classes? How were your TEAS scores,

Yes. That is part of the program.  You must complete the Empire pre-requisites before starting NUR 101. They are not making you take it, it's part of the program and it's a pre-requisite and we all must do it. I'm not sure what the other poster got in all 10 NCC pre-requisites but I got a 3.97 GPA. All As and 1 B+

Which courses would those be? The pre-reqs or the history course? Sorry, I'm a little bit confused!

I have all 9 pre-reqs and have life span left only. Had a TEAS score of 81.8 ( not that good), I did horribly in the English sections. But did well in math and science. Also have a 3.97 in NCC in about almost 30-40 classes I took from NCC. Right now I realized if you have all the pre-reqs done before getting in, it is better then.

Definitely need to complete 9 pre-reqs with As or better and a 80 or above TEAS score to have a chance in being selected. Remember it's also who you are up against. Good luck

In order to apply and have a chance of getting accepted you must have a high GPA, atleast 9 of the 10 pre-requisites (you can find the list here or on NCC), and a TEAS score of 80 or better on each subject. Once you are accepted and before you can register for Nur101 you must complete HIS 3345 and time allowing also compete ALLH 3030.
