In order to apply and have a chance of getting accepted you must have a high GPA, atleast 9 of the 10 pre-requisites (you can find the list here or on NCC), and a TEAS score of 80 or better on each subject. Once you are accepted and before you can register for Nur101 you must complete HIS 3345 and time allowing also compete ALLH 3030.

Definitely need to complete 9 pre-reqs with As or better and a 80 or above TEAS score to have a chance in being selected. Remember it's also who you are up against. Good luck

Yes. That is part of the program. You must complete the Empire pre-requisites before starting NUR 101. They are not making you take it, it's part of the program and it's a pre-requisite and we all must do it. I'm not sure what the other poster got in all 10 NCC pre-requisites but I got a 3.97 GPA. All As and 1 B+

Yes. If you hold a BA, then you are taking the pre-requisites as non-matriculation (correct me if I'm wrong). You can apply with 9 pre-refs completed and a strong TEAS. This is my experience. Your chances of getting accepted are better if you do so. good luck

Hi there I was perusing these comments for some encouragement and came across your post. I wanted to say you are not old at all! I wish I was 35 again and had taken the leap then. As I continued reading, I saw that your mom, at age 48, returned to school. Im in the same boat as she. I decided last year to return to school with no real educational background, except 2 community college courses that I took back in 1993! I hated that experience but was so thankful that it paid off in the long run and both credits transferred. I would love to hear about your mom and how she got along. How is she? Is she happy with her decision, was it worth it?

Clearly but people are nasty and ppl are the ones who spread disease. I hope after being in the field you have learned some. ppl should not work in this field if they don't believe in science

don't give up. Im going to finish up for the semester and then its all TEAS. You need to raise your TEAS score up to atleast 80. From my research thats the cuttoff, especially if you don't have all 10 Prerequisites. Im in suffolk, if you want to get together and study let me know. I plan to retake the TEAS and apply in time for March 5th deadline. don't be discouraged!

Hi. Just wanted to know when classes would take place. What if you apply for the evening but there are no spots available, would they give you the option to switch to the day program availability permitting ofcourse. Would clinicals take place in the evening as well, I'm assuming so. Thank you. Any insight would help. Yes. Those are great stats. My girls got in with similar stats as yours. She got an 80 on TEAS, 4.0 GPA from 9 course she took. So you have great possibilities! Good luck.

May I ask if you are a Nassau resident? I'm not so I'll never get up to 150s even with having completed all 10 pre-reqs. I'm wondering do you or anyone who is reading know details about the evening program?

Hello. I completed 6, and will complete 8 this semester. I have As/4.0 GPA. Same TEAS result as you. I'm planning on applying in March for the fall semester. So if you don't mind I will be following your journey since we are similar. Good luck!
