Narcotic abuse suspected

If your employer suspects that a nurse is giving narcotics away. Aren't they immediately suppose to take that nurse off the cart? What length of time do they have to report the issue.

I can just tell you what I have experienced.In all the cases I have seen they have first collected some evidence.Several times they secretly monitored the nurse and pulled them right off the floor once they had seen they had checked out narcotics.They basically caught them in the act.

You know, it's up to management/administration to know what to do. They probably have more information than you do. If it's not been reported, you do so. And then you just let them do their job.
