Napa Valley College wait list

Hi all! I have some questions for those who have any info regarding the wait list for the ADN-RN program at NVC. How long did it take you to get in? Do some people drop from the wait list causing you to get bumped up? Say they accepted my application in Jan 2009; how long would it take for me to get into the program? Anyone else here submit their application in Jan 2009? Ok, I'll stop with the questions for now. It's probably annoying, sorry :). Just drop any kind of info you know or anything you want to say about the school that will be helpful! Thanks! :)

I applied & got on the waitlist in 2008. When my letter came back it said I was number 437 on the list. I am just starting the program this fall - so 2 years. In the MEANTIME I got 3 A.A's, and was accepted to SSU's BSN program as an alternate. My best advice to you would be to make good use of your time while you wait. (take pharm, nutrition, organic chem, medical terminology, etc) also, be sure to brush up on your physio the summer/winter before you start.

Did they call you or did they send you a letter? I'm only asking because I just found out they have my old phone # and haven't been able to get ahold of anyone!

They send out a letter each year updating you on your new waitlist number. I moved of course during this time, however I submitted a change of address form to BOTH the Health Occupations office AND Admissions and Records and I STILL did not recieve that letter. I emailed Margarita Ceja directly (you can find her email address under the "directory" listing at napavalley.edu) When I touched base with her I found out I was number 63!! There is a letter they send out to students before each "starting" semester (for instance I got my letter in May about starting in August) And you have to tell them that you either want to start, ask to be placed at the bottom of the list, or removed from the list completely. IF they do not recieve ANY of the letters back from you, they remove your from the LIST!

I HIGHLY suggest that you follow up with margarita and get your new waitlist number. Also keep copies of any EMAILS, LETTERS, etc that you send them or turn in to the campus!

1DAYRNIHOPE I think they're going to send out the new waitlist numbers late September or late October but I'm not completely sure.

cheeeze12 I just got my number! 115 Looks like I wont be going to Napa! I have been accepted to Modesto for Spring 2011 so I will be going there. I'm planing on staying on the list just in case something happens! Did you get you're number?
