Napa Valley College Spring 2021

Hi All!

Just wanted to start a forum for NVC Spring 2021 ADN program!

Hi everyone!

I just found this forum, it’s nice to read about everyone’s experiences. First, let me start by saying CONGRATS! to all that got accepted, so happy for you! Second, I was reading about applicants getting alternate letters, my time stamp was at 9:03, but I didn’t receive an alternate letter. Should I just anticipate on applying next Summer? And if I may ask, did anyone with apps in at 9:03 or after receive an alternate letter?

Oh wow! I’m assuming you just waited in the lobby until 8:30 when they opened? Was there anyone else there? And were they understanding of your situation and willing to try their best to help?

I was there for a couple of hours before someone came in. I was probably overdoing it, but I wanted to have a good stamp.
The line was pretty long by 83, but ladies at the post office were great, and helped us keep track of the time

Hello everyone. I applied at 9:01 and I am an alternate. I asked how I ended up being an alternate and asked if it was exclusively based on time or not. She said that some people didn’t put there receipt with the time down to the second so they just picked ppl to the “best of there ability”. Makes me kind of skeptical tbh because if it’s a program based on time they should have picked those who had it down to the second then those who don’t after. But either way I’m still happy I’m an alternate and hope I get in. Looks like it was a lot more competitive this year bc previous years ppl were getting in at 9:01-9:04.

Mine was down to the second. I thought that was how all the receipts were at the post office.

@NL CNA yes people with much later time stamps got alternate letters. Someone with a 2:30pm time stamp got waitlisted.

Hi everyone,

First I'd like to say that I am super excited to meet you all and to get this nursing journey started!

With that being said, for anyone who may be looking to move closer to the college, I have a room in Vacaville that will be available for rent on Nov. 1st. We are all working adults/college students so the house stays very clean and quiet.

Please message me for more information?

Applications are due at 9am. When should we be at the post office?? Any former students recommend a good time to be ready?? I’m so nervous!

My post office opened at 830, so I was there at 8. I was 3rd in line and talked to the clerk, told her what I needed. She put me off to the side and called me over at 858. My time was 901. Try hard to get exactly 9!! If there are more applicants there at the same time, have them ring you all up together to get the same time! I heard of people doing this last year and they all got in. I also brought the clerks Starbucks gift cards just to sweeten them up! LOL Good luck!!

are we supposed to submit tomorrow in order to be prioritized???

the website says June 7 9am - June 12 noon.....

I think most people got in when they submit at exactly 9:00 A.M, btw I just created a new post for Spring 2022.
