NANN conference

Published

Hi all!

I received a scholarship to attend the NANN annual conference in Dallas October 22-25. It will be my first time attending a professional gathering; I am a new nurse in a Level III NICU and hoping to gain some foundational knowledge- also looking forward to the poster presentations and exhibits. Is anyone else planning to attend or willing to offer any tips so I get the most out of this opportunity?

Thanks so much!

I will be attending the ANN conference in Orlando next week. I attended the New Orleans conference last yr(my first conference ever) and luckily my roommate had attended several conferences so she showed me the ropes. There are lots of conferences to chose from-map out the ones you are really interested in because some will overlap.

I went last year on a scholarship. Took my laptop and took notes. I planned out which sessions to attend according to my interests. Hardly attended a session that wasn't relevant.

A lot of times you can download handouts from the conference site. All my coworkers were begging for those handouts (power points) after as all we scholarship winners had to make posters after.

I got another scholarship this year to see you there!!
