My LPN license is expiring--how do I put it on an inactive status?

Okay heres the situation, and this is probably a dumb question.

I have my RN license and I want to keep my LPN license, but how do I put my LPN liscence on an inactive status?

Do I contact the BON?

If so, can I contact them per e-mail?

I'M LOST!!!

HELP!!

In my state, you cannot have both...

I passed the lpn board less than 4 years ago, but never worked as an lpn. My license renewal time is approaching. Would I lose my license since I never used it if I go on the inactive list? I live in nyc.
