Hi all - just quickly - my daughter is first -year in RN school, and is getting a little frustrated with Nanda dx's - so she came up with one "to cover all this stuff": Alteration in Reality, Actual vs. Potential. I thought that was hilarious - just wait til JCAH monitors find that one in a chart somewhere...

I'd say the "Energy Field" 'diagnosis' kind of goes hand and hand with "Alterations in Reality."
Screw nursing school. Tell your daughter to call Carpenito. Her future is in writing.

Is the "energy field disturbance" dx still kicking around? We had a nurse who was a TT "practitioner" and she really intruded on my patients more than once. I would leave the room to go get a PRN and come back and she would be waving hands over MY patients. One even called security on her.
I don't know what I believe about TT but it seems to be unproven so far.
And to the student nurse....I'd say you have hit the dx on the head!
