Okay so here's the deal:
graduated 07 from a liberal arts university with 3.06 in biology, I probably have around a 3.1ish in my pre-reqs.
I was an opthalmic assistant during college, after college I've spent the past 2.5 years working in clinics supporting HIV programs in kenya. I could get some good letters of rec and write a good essay, but
my question is can I get into any private ABSN programs? Or the traditional route?
Should I retake some pre-reqs I have C's in?
I am looking at Regis, Mount st. mary's, GWU, Villanova, NYU, Samuel Merritt -- or are these schools too far of a reach?
anyone?

It all depends on the particular school, unfortunately I don't know anything about those schools you listed so I can't comment on them. ABSN programs are typically more competitive, especially these days with so many people going back to school, but it doesn't hurt to apply. I'd apply to as many schools as you can and cross your fingers. If that doesn't work then find a program with a wait list so you can still get in even if you're turned down the first time through. Good luck!

It is so hard to get into nursing school so I think if you think it is best that you should retake the C's especially if they are in sciences.
Apply to both traditional and ABSN programs to hedge your bets.
