YOU CAN DO IT!!! I got to this point a week ago and just cried. I didn't think that I could do it. I made a B on it and now I am finished. I am a average C student and I have studied my but off in my A&P class. I finished Friday with a A in Lab and B in lecture. I couldn't believe it. It was tough but it you have made it this far don't let the muscle test stop you. Believe in yourself....
What i find helps me to learn bones and muscles, is to find them on my body and say the names over and over.... then slowly eliminate the ones you know, and focus on the ones you don't.
I definitely agree! We did cat dissections for the muscles, and I would often find myself looking at my own cats to try to memorize their muscles. :)
I find it also helps to make up rhymes or acronmyns (for example, the deltoid muscles on the cat spelled "CAS." Same for the trapezius muscles. And the lower leg muscles spelled out TEPS). :)
Ugh...i hated this part of anatomy.
Here's a good website you might want to check out.

Absolutely agree! Don't try to learn a bunch at one time...start w/maybe 5...locate them on your body, your kids, husband, boyfriend, ect. then say & locate them over & over. When you have these down pat move on to 5 more. Keep repeating the first 5 you know, and add the second 5 to them.....keep on doing this until you have them all. Also if you kinda know what each muscle does this will help too. Good Luck
Muscles totally overwhelmed me at first too. For me it's just repetition, repetition, repetition until it finally starts to click. I like doing the interactive quizzes online over and over, it's really helpful to me. I use the website listed above and also another great one that uses real models like we're tested on in lab can be found if you google "anatomy & physiology", it's the first site listed, and then click on Cool A&P tutorials link on the bottom of the main page.

Pretty bad when studying the muscles makes you want to quit. My test is Tues and I find it highly impossible to memorize these muscles.
