Hi everyone. I just recently completed my application to MUSC's Fall 2018 PhD program. Has anyone else applied? It was difficult to find the acceptable rates/stats for the program and would love to go through this waiting game with other hopeful candidates.
Hey all!
I also received my acceptance email 4/6 for the FNP track! So excited, I was getting so nervous. No letter in the mail yet. But from the email looks like our orientation will be July 18th-19th I believe. Does everyone here who's been accepted live in the Charleston area or is anyone from out of state? So excited for everyone. I work at MUSC and will be attempting to work full time until I cannot any longer. Let me know everyones thoughts for that. Also what does everyone think about creating a FB page for questions and stuff like that for the 2018 DNP applicants/ acceptances?
Thanks!
Katie
Hi I think the Facebook idea sounds great! I am planning on working full time as well. I have a friend who is an NP who worked full time up until her last semester. I haven't received a letter in mail yet, hopefully I will get something tomorrow or Wednesday. I live in state, so it shouldn't take long. I am excited to meet everyone at orientation.
Hey everyone so I created this page for us DNP students to join! Figured it would be a nice way to connect and a little easier to monitor for questions we could bounce off one another! Feel free to add yourself using the link below! Excited to connect with you all.
So I created a FB page for us to connect on and to provide an open forum for any questions that might be a little easier to monitor. All nurses won't let me post the link but if you search MUSC DNP Students of 2018 the page should show up! Feel free to add yourselves to this. I look forward to connecting with everyone.

Yay!! So excited as well! I went ahead and liked the page!

My friend and coworker is in the DNP family. He started working full time then switched to two 12's a week to keep up with school. The program is pretty rigorous and he says its not really designed for working full time. That being said, I'm still going to try to attempt the program while working full time.
