I recently applied for priority admission to the Fall 2013 Accelerated Nursing Program at MUSC. I started this thread to makej contact with anyone else that may have applied priority or is planning on applying regular admission for Fall 2013. Anyone out there?

Hello everyone!

I will be applying to MUSC in December for the Fall 2014 program. I have no volunteer hours BUT I am a CNA and have a job at a hospital as a CNA and safety sitter and log anywhere from 24-40 hours a week so by the time I apply I will be around 500 or so hours there. I am taking 3 out of the 4 pre-rec classes this Fall that is why I am waiting till december to apply. Also, I am out of state.. My cum. GPA is about a 3.1 due to a failed course. Im not sure what my pre-rec or science GPA will be since I am still taking those classes. Any hints on what I can do to improve my chances? I know my GPA isn't ideal.. but I am so passionate and determined to do this I could use all the helpful tips I can get!! Thanks everyone!

Hey! I'm an undergrad seeking my BSN and I was wondering if any MUSC nurses could tell me about how many (if any) undergrads are in their clinical rotations and classes? I had a friend tour who said they typically discourage undergrads, but I just love the city of Charleston so much! The website says about 20% are undergrads, but I'm sure that's just a roundabout number. Thanks!
