MUO at Toledo - Gemini Master's of Nursing Program in Toledo, Ohio

I am interested in starting a thread as to the 42 students that will be starting the 2006/2007 Gemini program at the Medical University of Ohio, which has just recently changed its name to to reflect its affiliation with the University of Toledo. I have been offered a position in the class and have accepted it. The Orientation is Aug. 16, 2006 and the first day of class is Aug. 21, 2006. If you run across this thread in your search and you are starting this Fall at MUO, would you post here so we can get unified for the new class as we will be working together for the next 21 months.

There are 42 students? I was under the understanding that the class was 24.

This is hearsay, as my dad the attorney would say, but it is good hearsay. I had heard that the class was enlarged to accept a higher percentage of the 50 or so that interviewed for the Fall class. The Gemini Fall 2006 Schedule shows a column for number. Health Assessment and the Nursing Process for Promoting Health shows 32 in the class. The two labs (Aug. 22 thru Oct. 24) show 16 in each class. The 32 number may have increased further because all of the interviewees did so well.

The MUO has connected with the University of Toledo housing site to post without recommending potential apartments for nursing students. The web site is www.commuter.utoledo.edu. Specific apartments are Hunters Ridge Apts. Deerfied Run Apts. Briar Cliff Woods, Cambridge Woods, Heath Briar and Heathergate Park. The last four allow cats for an extra charge.
