Starting in 2015 this will be the norm for everyone working and not just nursing. Employers will be federally mandated to pay for medical benefits if you are working greater than 30 hours per week. It was supposed to begin in 2014 but was put off for a year. Since one will find it hard to manage on 29 hours a week, we will all have (2) 29 hour per week jobs.
I worked at my first career for more than 20 years. I enjoy still doing a few freelance assignments in it every now and then. Like the extra money, too.
