Multiple Interviews?

Hello allnurses community,

I am a new (old) grad, graduated May 2011, passed boards July 2011 and just scored my FIRST interview last week at a pediatric medical daycare. I thought the interview wasn't going so hot, but I was invited for a "working interview" that I go to tomorrow to shadow an RN because the facility requires an 18 month commitment, so they want who ever they choose to be sure they are willing to commit.

With that being said, a friend from nursing school contact me and offered to give my information to the dermatology office she works for. I sent her my resume and I got a call back ONE DAY later for an interview next week. My dilemma is this: I will not know about the peds daycare until January 20th (roughly) and the dermatology interview is January 10. If I were to be offered a job at the office, what do I tell them about the other interview I will be waiting to hear from? I did not mention on the phone that I was actively interviewing elsewhere. I would prefer to work at the peds medical daycare, but I would not turn down the job at a dermatology office if that's what it came down to.

Any advice? Thank you all.
