MTSU Nursing 2015

I just applied to the nursing program for spring 2015! Just wondering if there was anybody else out there to share the nervousness with! Haha I previously applied for the fall and did not get in, so I am really nervous this time. I brought my GPA up from a 3.3 to a 3.5 and my HESI score went up from an 83 to a 91! Last time I got a 3.5 on my interview so maybe I can bring that up as well! I'd love to hear when you all get called for your interview! Good luck!

Awesome! Good luck to you, too! I am feeling pretty confident, but I know the interview is crucial. I'm sure we'll both do great, though. What are you doing to prepare for the interview?

Oh Okay, thanks! I'm all upset because I haven't been called but I just called them and she's out today & tomorrow. So fingers crossed that thats why I haven't heard anything lol.

I'm sure that's why. As long as your application packet was complete, I think you are guaranteed an interview. Did you say you are out of state? They may be calling in state students first, so that could be part of the reason, too.

I started the nursing program this fall, so I remember the nervousness quite well! Just be confident and research and practice potential interview questions. You can find some scattered around the internet..I can't really remember what they asked me, that's how nervous I was lol but I do remember them asking about my greatest weakness, what i think a nurse is, my greatest achievement. Things like that. Somehow I managed a 3.9 on my interview. I still don't know how that happened! Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Rew3n. I am trying to prepare as best I can. Has your perspective on what it means to be a nurse changed since starting the program? I would love some insight.

I did terrible in my interview. :( I can only hope that it didn't seem as bad to the interviewers as it did to me. Bummer.
