Ah ha! Go Green :)
I'm applying for the regular BSN program there, if I don't get accepted into LCC's ASN program. I already have my associate's, but that doesn't count for the 2nd degree program at MSU, so I have to apply as a traditional BSN student. I'm working on classes towards the BSN while waiting to start the LCC program.
MSU does look at grades, but they also weigh whether they feel you have "what it takes" to be in the program, not just GPA alone. From talking with the advisor, seemed like a 3.6 GPA or above was needed to get accepted into the traditional. Not sure about 2nd Degree. The good news is that you'll have less competition with the 2nd Degree program, than with the traditional route.
I'm applying in May for the next cohort if I don't get in to LCC. Best of luck to you! Maybe we'll both be going to MSU at the same time
Hi
I have a 3.4 or 3.5 gpa in my pre-reqs and have graduated with a cumulative gpa of a 3.55 for my bachelor's degree. I am applying to Michigan State's accelerated 2nd degree program for May 2014. What do you think my chances of getting in are? I took all my pre-reqs at MSU, but did not get my bachelor's from MSU.
Also, how do you like the program? I have heard mixed-results from their traditonal BSN program.
Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I was just wondering if there was anyone else on here that has applied to MSU's accelerated nursing program starting in May 2013? I'm getting anxious because I know that is a very tough school to get into because they value GPA a lot.
