MSN Nursing/Health care Education graduates

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hello! I have just graduated from the MSN Nursing/healthcare education program this year from University of Phoenix. I am just wondering what MSN graduates are up to since the degree has been attained. I am currently working in the operating room as a staff nurse and I am hoping that in the next year or so, I would be in the nursing education department.

I just finished my capstone and am still working on an acute cardiac unit. No immediate plans for a change, but will likely be picking up a clinical section to teach in the spring, and then will be trying to transition more into the education side. I want to stay involved in acute care though because I really enjoy the patients and the fast pace.

HI,

Could you tell me more about the MSN program at University of Phoenix? I am thinking seriously to attend ADN-MSN after I become an RN (already have another Master's degree in Science). Do they require GRE prior to entering the grad program? What about Financial Aid? Is there a financial aid office and scholarships information available? I am interested in Nursing Education/Clinical Research/Clinical Nurse Specialist. Are the programs recognized by the NLN and employers?:nurse:

I will be glad to hear from you with more details.

Thanks

Hi! UoP does not require GRE and there is financial aid available such as stafford loans. The financial counselor of UoP assigned to you will assist you with the application every step of the way. When you enroll in UOP, you automatically have an academic counselor and financial counselor to assist you in attaining your degree. Believe me, they are very helpful. UOP is nationally recognized and the hospitals recognize the degree you will attain through that university. You can also see that on their website. Good luck to you! :nuke:
