MSN in Nursing Education at Aspen

I'm looking into obtaining an MSN. I want an MSN in nursing education so I can eventually teach nursing later on.

I just wanted to ask if anyone has had any issues with Aspen college. I've been researching and so far it seems fine. I recall accreditation being important when looking at schools (nationally vs regionally) but it seems CCNE and CAS are the ones to look for.

My question is, will I have any issues applying to jobs down the road with a degree from this school?

Specializes in none at the moment.

Hello,

I have my Masters of science degree in nursing education, I received my masters degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing.  When I looked at Aspen their Masters programs are accredited through CCNE - you shouldn't have a problem.

I will let you know though, if you are looking to teach nursing courses online/remotely you will need to further your education to receive a doctorate. It's extremely hard to find anything online with only a masters - you will be all set to teach in person at a community college.

Best of Luck to you!
