Hello,
I have been trying to find a good agency to work for in the DFW area. I am going on Monday to talk to Medical staffing network (MSN). Does anyone here have any experience with this agency? I would love to hear some feedback.
I am currently doing shifts for PRN and I think they may be new. They are very nice but seem limited on shift availability.
I am also considering intellistaff? If anyone knows anything about them. Especially the DFW office?
Thank you in advance for all of your help.
Just started to work for MSN agency.
The application process is something to be desired.....kept getting emails to complete this and that, etc. Why they don't have a large packet to complete everything is beyond me. It literally took over 2 months to complete all paperwork, return phone calls and emails, and fax everything (which adds up $$$ when you don't have your own fax).
So, now Im in. I just completed a computer orientation class for one of the hospitals. And , I will be calling another account manager for another hospital I wish to work.
I have gotten several calls to pick up shifts, but these are at hospitals which require 'no orientation'....for my sake and my license, i refuse to work anywhere without some kind of orientation....even like an hour or two would be most beneficial for both the hospital and myself.
I will keep ya'll updated.
ohmylanta....this company is awful! I cannot believe I wasted all this time and paperwork to get in, just to get screwed over.
This just happened since sunday nite......was called to work monday nite shift, 8 hours, time/date/place confirmed. Monday, called by same company to work that nite (umm, i already confirmed to work), but no! The scheduler put me on for the wrong day at the wrong place....and wrong time! ok, so we corrected that, and I will still work monday nite. No, I get cancelled at the last minute, given 2 choices to go elsewhere. Choose the closer one; oh, it looks like they just cancelled the need. Get offerred the 2nd choice, oh but they dont know if they need you until after 9:30pm, can you wait that long? Its no big deal, really! (this is what the scheduler person states to me). Get put on hold while she is trying to confirm with the hospital. I just hung up.....
Disappointed to say the least! Plan to deal with a LOCAL agency rather than a national one.
Lesson learned!
So i applied to our local msn branch a while ago...My my it was interesting to say the least. They made alot of promises about jobs, and I jumped through all the hoops... never heard back from them. Called a month later and they hadn't checked references or something. I offered to come in and finish up everything I could...drug test and other paper work, but they declined my coming in. I haven't heard from them in months. Ah well no loss for me, I don't think I could work at an agency which didn't keep me apprised of the situation.

I have just completed orientation at my local office for MSN and the staff was very professional and helpful. The recruiter, not the person at the office, called the afternoon after my orientation at the office to make sure things went well and did I need anything else. The pay is fair in my opinion and they have the hospital I was looking for work per diem. They seemed well put together to me. They offerred to mail me more time slips and I can fax them in since I don't live close to them. They seem very flexible and tend to bend over backwards to get things flowing properly.
