Hi there! I was recently accepted into the Mount Saint Mary's ABSN program for Summer 2019. I have been searching for a thread for this cohort or even a facebook page and have found nothing so far...so I decided to create my own! If you were accepted into the MSMU Summer 19' ABSN cohort please respond, I want to be able to meet my peers before the program starts! ?

Hi!! Finally I know someone who got accepted! I’m so anxious to start too! You haven’t received the welcome package in the mail right?

Congrats to you all! I just applied for ABSN Fall 2019 and I hope I can join you on this journey! I was curious about how much time the school gives you to figure out the financial aid/tuition? I believe past post said something about submitting $400 deposit to secure your spot once accepted? Thank you and congrats again!
Hi! Yeah I submitted my deposited within the first few days of acceptance. They tell you to start the financial aid process right after that so you have a good chunk of time before you start to figure that out. It was about 4 months before I start in May.
Gotcha thank you!
Stephanee, have you already started the FAFSA? Have you met with anyone from MSMU yet?
Hi I finished the FAFSA already! And what do you mean met with anyone?

I just went to my first Math remediation class. It was very helpful.
Im a bit anxious about the program, someone mentioned that if you fail a class you get immediately kicked out of the program. They also said that older moms don’t do well in the program. I’m an older student and a mother so I’m feeling a bit nervous.

Hi! I will be joining you guys in the Summer 2019 ABSN program. If you fail a class, you are not immediately kicked out of the program; instead, you will be able to join the following program. Also, "older moms don't do well in the program" is false. I was in the previous cohort and there was a mom with a newborn and she is doing well; there were plenty of moms and even dads who were older and they did perfectly fine :)
If you guys have anymore questions feel free to email ([email protected]) me directly as I do not check this very often.
Hi everyone! I'm glad that more people are posting. I will also be starting the program in May and like you, I am anxious but excited. As a mom of an 11 and 13 year-old, I was told AT THE INTERVIEW, that they love having moms in the program, so I feel pretty good about all us moms embarking on this journey. I managed a master's program when my kids were 2 and 4 so trust me, it's doable and if anyone needs anything- you can ask me. We need to help each other out. I'm excited to meet you all.
