MSMU ABSN Summer 2021

Hello! I didn't see a forum yet for MSMU's ABSN Summer 2021 program, so I thought I would start one. 
 

Oh OK! So did any of you have to take the Kaplan exam( entrance exam). I applied for the Fall start date and I’m studying right now for the Kaplan exam because I thought we had to take it. Unless they got rid of that right now? LOL

I didn't take it but maybe they changed it? I would double check with the school ?

Hi everyone! 

I got accepted too, and this was the only program I applied to. I was going to apply to Northridge by this month. But, I think I'm going to go with mount saint mary's. I cannot wait to start this journey with you guys!

Hi! congrats to those who have gotten accepted! I am actually applying for fall and was wondering if we have to have letters of req from an academic institution. It says academic or employer and I have been working for a clinic and an ambulatory service center so I had ask them to write the letters of req. Will I not have a chance if I don't have a academic? 

Has anyone or know anyone that have got accepted with letters of req from employers?

Hi! Good luck with your application!

When I turned in my application both times (I applied twice because I got rejected the first time), I only used former managers. Both were not in the medical field. I decided to go with these people because they have seen me grow as a person, and they really have seen my work ethic. I am not sure how others have done it, but I didn't have the academic letter of rec, and I was accepted this upcoming cohort. I hope this helps!

I joined an info session for the ABSN program last year and I remember them saying they highly recommend having at least one recommender that can speak on your academic abilities because the program is rigorous. It doesn’t have to be a science class instructor, any instructor will work. I think they’ll still look at your application though you should contact the school to confirm. Good luck! ?

Congrats on everyone getting accepted! I am still not sure if this is the right program for me due to the expensive tuition costs. I logged into my MSMU portal but it says my "Financial Aid Award Package" is  still in progress. Has anyone received information regarding their financial aid yet?

How can they expect us to make a decision in 2 weeks if we do not know how much we will be paying for tuition?
