MSMU ABSN FALL 2022

Hi, I have not seen a topic for fall 2022 so I created one. Who else submitted their application?

@Mz_Ogeedid you receive an email or was it just checking the application status on their website?

I’m so sorry - I’m sure you’re disappointed ? 

I don’t know what my status is - I haven’t heard anything one way or another and my application status hasn’t been updated.

I got an email. The reason they gave was that I did not meet the minimum GPA and/or failed or repeated a prerequisites. These are not true because my GPA is 3.28 and I did not fail any prerequisites. I don't know why they did that.

That's just a standard response (I got it too). My GPA is 3.81 undergrad and 4.0 grad and I've never repeated any courses so who knows the real reason.

That's totally unfair. The least they could do was tell us the real reason.

I mean not really. Sure, I would love to know why I was denied but they probably have hundreds of people applying and they need to focus on those that are actually being accepted.

I received the same email too, GPA was 3.8 + extracurriculars, certifications, etc. 

Bummer but we must continue pushing through; we will make it soon!

Hey guys,

So the reason I didn't get in was because the course I submitted for human nutrition did not meet the requirement. What nutrition course did you submit? Just so I will know the right class to sign up. The counselor does not have any available date till next year.

I just took the Human Nutrition class at my local community college.  MSMU has an articulation agreement with local colleges that indicates the course code that meets their requirement.  That helped me a lot.

Has anyone not received an email?  I still have not received anything and my status on my application still says 'submitted'.  I just don't know what to expect and I'm so nervous.

Based on the previous semesters on the forums, it seemed like there was no communication from MSMU until interviews, but I couldn't be wrong.

I checked and I didn't find any for human nutrition. I have Hlth 011 and I don't know if it meets their requirement, I think it does and I wish I used it instead. I have checked the agreement and I didn't find anything about the nutrition class.

You're right - I checked the articulation agreement and it doesn't have Nutrition...so weird!

My Nutrition class at my community college was called NUT with the course number so it explicitly said Nutrition... I know that probably doesnt help AT ALL.  Can you email them?

Hello everyone!

I am so relieved to find this forum; I've been worried for the past couple of weeks hoping to get an email from MSMU for an interview. 

I haven't received anything from the school yet. Could anyone share the email address? I am wondering if I had missed it. 

I know MSMU is really strict regarding minimum GPA, repeat courses, prereqs from when I attended the Zoom orientation.
