I hope that lady was right when she told me not everyone will get an interview... I'm getting so antsy!! Let us know vlove!

How hard is it to get into? I have an Anatomy class from my Bachelors degree but thats it! I would be applying for pre-nursing. Do you think I have a chance?

@nakgirl well there was someone from the last cohort who got in without being interviewed but idk if she was exceptionally smart or if she has connections hehe

@ehumble i dont think theyll be too strict if ur applying to prenursing. no school is reallt strict wit prenursing but once u get in,thats the time when u shud do well because they look at ur prenursing grades when u apply to the actual nursing program. so r u gonna do ADN instead of the ABSN?

Yes, I am going for the ADN because they offer nights and weekends. I am 29 with 2 small children :)

oh so ABSN doesnt offer nights and weekends? but yea its good how ADN offers that. when i applied, i put that i prefer afternoons but its not for sure that theyll have the afternoon option

Were you accepted? I really want to do this! I know the deadline is Sep 1st but do they tell you before that if you get in our not? Or do they wait for everyone to apply?

i havent received a decision letter. we get them in june. they dont tell us if we got in or not until theyve reviewed everyones applications. i applied in march and the only update i realy had was to take the teas. they didnt tell me anything else.

It's funny how they say this is a night and weekend program so that you may still work but when I went to an info session the program director said not only it is nearly impossible to work even part time and still keep up with all the studying but she does not suggest it at all. However, I am sure that people have made it work in the past, albeit probably being the most stressed they ever have in their lives. She said that you could be studying about 5-6 hours per day, 5 days a week. And that's b/c they don't test from the book so you have to know everything inside and out, front to back and be able to articulate what you've learned. Obviously, I haven't been through the program yet and I don't know if she's just saying that to scare future students or she just trying to keep it real... Methinks the latter on that one.

I just wish I had my damn letter already!!!

most nursing schools say it would be better if u dont work or work only a little bit. but msmc sounded so much scarier at the info session. like u dont pass the test or the 3rd time im not sure u fail the class and have to be behind a semester. it seems way harder than other nursing schools but we can do it!! hopefully :)
