MSA CRNA 2022 start

Nursing Students SRNA

Hello to everyone that applied to MSA for the CRNA DNP program starting in 2022!

Wanted to get the forum started so we can keep tabs on the application process/interviews!

I read on their website that a graduate statistics course was required prior to the start date with a comment such as, “will explain more if you’ve been accepted”. I don’t know much more than this!

Not sure the exact date but I believe sometime in Jan.

Do you have to take the graduate level statistics course before hand?

Yes. I read that, but haven’t heard from them yet. Thanks

Congrats! I was accepted earlier this year. I've been excitedly waiting for our cohort to come together, and to start hearing more from MSA about our next steps!

I was also accepted into the program ? Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

Congrats! Can't wait to meet you all. Just wondering, anyone sent in the enrollment fee and acceptance letter and got any update back regarding the Stats course? I sent mine in last Thursday but no response yet nor have they taken the enrollment fee from my account. I'm trying to figure out a last trip before program start and would like to know more about the Stats course. Thanks!

I have not sent mine in yet, because I am having second thoughts. I am not from the area and I will be moving out of state, The houses in Minneapolis is discouraging, the houses don’t look very nice and I will be moving my whole family ?. please let us know abt the stats course.

If you have many choices, you'll definitely have to weigh what works best for your family.  I am from MN originally and moved to the east coast for 20 years.  I have just come back. We didn't move into Minneapolis, but into one of the suburbs.  It is nice, safe, and it is more affordable outside the cities (and the public schools are better). Some areas are an easy commute to Metro State and to Shoreview where the office is... as for the clinical sites- I think there will be more driving involved with that.  Don't be discouraged!

I don't know if they will send out information until they have the set group.  Did they give you a month to answer?  I have been excitedly waiting since the beginning of the year and have recently moved my family to settle in to the area.

Yes, the cost of living and their given condition is definitely not the greatest but like KB_ICU said, the suburbs areas are a lot better. I live a bit farther out in the coon rapids/ champlin areas and it's not too bad. But I get it, if I was moving my whole family, I would definitely make sure it is for the best (that it can be) for everyone.

The deadline for the enrollment fee isn't until September 13. I guess it make sense to send out one mass email once the group of is set. It must be a special Stats course because I was snooping around in Metro State's course page and all the Stats course offered started in August and ends in December. If I find out anything more, I will update the rest of you as well.
