moving to texas

Published

Hi, I am going to graduate in December in Nebraska and moving to Texas probably 4 days after graduation. I am trying to take boards in Texas but they are telling me that I won't be able to until I'm a resident of Texas. I already applied to take the boards because they said you have to apply 120 days before you graduate. My question is since I have already applied but am not a resident yet, am I going to have to apply again after I become a resident? Or can I just move down there and get residency and then take the test?

I am not sure as to why you couldnt sit for your boards in Texas? I took my Arizona boards in Texas I had to pay $50 dollars to change testing sites, since Arizona was a compact state it didnt make much since for me to attempt a Texas license.
