DON'T MOVE TO SD! That will be a huge mistake. The majority of new grads that graduated in May 2009 in SD have not found a job. SD is one of the worst places to be if you are a new grad.
You have a golden opportunity. Many would pay to be in your position. Stay for a year and then think about moving.
The questions you asked in your post won't even matter because you will not find a job in SD...unless you have some major connections.
Sorry for the bad news, but it is the reality in SD.
And most places who do hire their website says a minimum of 1 year experience. Although in reality people with several years are who is going to get a job. Though I believe they aren't really hiring anyone right now, experienced or not. Sorry for the bad news but the other posters are right. Go ahead and start a job search, but do not move without a job lined up.

I just got into a new grad program when I found out my family had to relocate to San Diego. I have stayed behind and in my current position and will have completed a new grad program. How hard will it be for me to land a job in SD having just completed a new grad program with only 6 months experience total?
I really miss my family and just cannot believe the circumstances.
How will a new employer view this?
