I was told that university of makati was a good school but i dont know how long it will take me to finish.

what are your thoughts? would you be doing the same thing if you need to change your career ? I grew up in the phil and moved here when i was 19 so i know how it is to live in the phil

Honest opinion? Can't imagine doing what you're talking about. The Philipines is known for cranking out lots of graduates, but not lots of graduates who can pass the NCLEX-RN. I seem to remember the passing rate to be about 50%; some schools better than others, of course, but still.....

You'd have to be sure, too, that the school you chose offered everything you'd need to qualify to sit for the exam in the US; you don't want to find out after graduation that you're missing a requirement and have to take yet another class.

If you want to move back to the Philippines because it's home to you, that's one thing. Doing it as a career advancement, not so great, in my opinion.

Hi Jill. Nursing at UMak would take 2 years since you already have a bachelor's degree. It's a decent school with a lot of 2nd coursers so you won't feel out of place. Personally however, if I had your situation I would find a way to just attend school in the US. But if you already know what to expect then go for it.
