bridget, this is my first time on this site. You caught my attention because we have a couple of things in common. My name is also bridgett, I'm from Philly, and I'm moving to winston-salem in july! I'm an rn-bsn and i'm about to apply for my NC license. I used to work at temple and chestnut hill hospitals in ccu. What about you? I see your message is from Feb, but, hopefully, you'll see this.

Come on over to Baptist Hospital!!!! As a matter of fact I need some help!

lisaloulou, are you talking about wakeforest baptist? if so, that's where my husband was just hired as a surgical oncologist. that's why we're moving there! we'll be back in about week to look for a home, schools, etc. any advice?

WELCOME TO NC shortly!

Yes, Wake Forest Baptist.

I dont have kids in school, so Im not sure about that. Do check out Old Salem, the Ardmore district and the West End for old houses with character. If you want to save mucho on taxes, check out Pfafftown.

Here, we are very close to either the mountains or the beach. It is beautiful.

We were there in April and checked out all of those places. We know what schools we're interested in now, so, we're going to go to Lewistown, most likely. Or maybe Clemmons. Pfafftown is nice, but seems too far for my husband to drive each AM. How long does it take you in the AM? If it's not too long, we may consider it. I found 2 houses there that I like, but ruled them out because of distance.

From a house in Pfafftown that we looked at to work would only be around 10 miles or so, of course it depends on exactly where the house you are looking at is. :)

Are you going to be working also? If so, mention my name and they will give me $100 :coollook:

Specializes in Emergency.

My wife and I moved from W-S, still have a house for sale there just 10-15 mins from both hospitals. It is in the Clemmons school district. PM if interested. Clemmons is about 10 mins away but when there is a traffic accident then it could be much longer 45-60mins.

Bridget, if you are a CNA I you will contact the NC Division of Facility Services in Raleigh, but if you are a CNA II, this role is handled by the NC Board of Nursing also in Raleigh. If you call information, you can get either number that applies to you.
