Moving from MI, looking at Nursing Schools

Published

Hello there folks,

So here's my story. I'm pre-nursing. I have a ton of my prereqs done, but getting in to nursing school in michigan is like pulling teeth:banghead:. The auto makers here are offering alot of their employees buyouts and paying for their education, which a ton of them decided to go to for nursing. So with nursing schools already hard to get into, now there's even more competition. Well my husband and I were already talking of moving to Nashville area after I finished school. I'm started to get frustrated, so we talked about moving there sooner. If I don't get into a nursing school in 2009, we want to go ahead and move to TN and I'll try getting into a school there. My question is I know it's hard getting into nursing school period, but in general how long is in taking all of you to get in? Associates or BSN it doesn't matter.Any help is greatly appreciated!!!:)

Yes I work as CNA/PCT now. I also work in medical billing. So I will still work as much as possible while in school.

Icyspots I will be applying to eastern in May however I'm looking at other options because I'm tired of getting my hopes up. Do you have info on eastern to encourage me?
