Hi everyone!
I'm new to this site and joined in hopes that someone out there could help shed some light on a very confusing process for me. I'm currently live in TN and I graduate from nursing school in about a month, and immediately after graduation I plan to permanently move to Maryland. Well, as I am in the process of applying to the Maryland Board of Nursing from my understanding I see that I am not even eligible to apply without a permanent Maryland Address. Luckily for me almost all my family members live in Maryland and having a permanent address for my "primary state of residence form" is no problem for me- I plan to move in with family. Will that permanent address suffice for my application although I wont be able to obtain a MD driver's license for probably a few more months after I move?
Is there anyone out there who has gone through a similar situation? I just want to permanently live there without having to pay the extra fees/wait the extra time to obtain a TN license and then get it endorsed to MD. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You can give MD your MD address and take NCLEX in TN, requesting that results are reported to MD. Or just move there and apply then. I guess I'm not understanding what the problem is.

Maryland's BON website says to email someone to get the specific out-of-state application form. I would just follow their directions. Don't go bending the truth... It might bite you in the behind later.
Sorry I probably worded that a little weird. I was just worried about claiming MD as my primary state without a drivers license or any other proof (Such as a federal income tax or being registered to vote in MD) other than just an address.
Exactly. You should worry about it.You are not currently residing in MD, so you cannot use that form. If they for whatever determine you were lying, you could get in trouble. Just email them for the correct form.
Or take the NCLEX where you are, and transfer your license when you actually move there. And register to vote and get a driver's license!
Yes, this will cost you some extra money. Not as much as getting caught in a lie will, though.
