My husband may be forced to relocate to Houston in summer 2013. I will be graduating with a BSN in May. Are the job prospects any better?

Better than what/where?

The prospects are not great, but maybe better than Cslifonia?

Just moved out of Houston because of the market for new graduate nurses, hope you have better luck.

I moved down to Houston from Fargo ND as a New Grad from an ADN program. I was able to get a job the day after I moved down here. I have heard a number of people say how hard it is to get jobs, but then I have also heard that many places are now trying to hire more new grads, because we are willing to work in less than desireable conditions and keep our mouths quiet about it. So I say just try. You never know.

Nice job JRich, where did you end up finding a job?

If you have your heart set on working at a hosptial, then yes you may have a difficult time. If you are willing to work at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility you shouldn't have a problem finding a job.
