Moving to Enid - any advice?

Published

Hello!

My husband and I will be relocating from Columbus, Ohio to Enid, Oklahoma this November. I currently work at The Ohio State University so I know that this is going to be a huge change for me as Enid is such a small city. It looks like there are 2 different hospitals there - Integris and St. Mary's Regional. Is one better than the other? Are there any specific floors that you really enjoy?

Any advice about the hospitals or the area in general would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)

Hello, I have worked at both and Integris is better at treating their staff. St Mary's is better if you like trauma or othro. What is your speciality?

Don't live on the east side of town. Anything bad that happens in Enid happens on the east side. Try to find a house in the west or north part of Enid.

Thanks for the response! I've always been cardiac - I started with step down open heart surgeries and I currently work on a step down vascular/thoracic surgery unit.

Thanks for the advice on where to live too! We are relocating because of the Air Force so we are hoping to get a place at Vance, but we are keeping our options open just in case because it sounds like a lot of people are getting wait listed.

Cardiac pick Integris they have the best cardio thoracic surgery, ICU an step down would be glad to have someone with experience. You can put me as a reference Stacy Boyd. I figured you would be military, yes Vance doesn't have alot of homes on base most live off base.

Thank you so much :)

Have you moved to Enid yet?
