Moving to Cincy area early next year...small problem

Published

Hi everybody,

I haven't posted on here in a looonnnng time, but I find that I need some help now. I was trying to scope out the payscale at a few hospitals in the Cincinnati area and when I call, they tell me they can't tell me over the phone. I live in WV...4 1/2 to 5 hours from the hospitals. I have never run into this problem with any of the other hospitals that I have considered. I told them how far away I live and they treated me like a moron because I thought they would tell me over the phone. Anyone know base salaries in this area? That would at least give me a place to start. Thanks in advance.

University Hospital starts at $20.55 for new nurses. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.

Thank you, it does help. At least I know I shouldn't take too much of a pay cut.

I am just starting nursing school but from what I have read around here the base start is around $21 (if I remember correctly!) Good luck with your move!

I work for Mercy Health Partners, and my friend who just graduated with her ADN was bumped up to a little over $20 (she was a tech previously).
