Blue Ash is a really nice suburb. Great schools if you have children, lots of community services and events.
Can't help too much re: hospitals as I am not a nurse yet, just a patient. :-) My neighbor is an RN and has worked at Children's for 20+ years and loves it.

Cincinnati is a big bustling city. Traffic is awful if your not used to driving with a lot of cars/traffic. The only hospital that I worked at (as a traveler) is Bethesda North. It was a great hosptial. You just have to be careful as far as where you live in Cinci, because in certain areas, the crime rate is high. But so are a lot of other cities. I'm from Dayton.

Don't know your price range or city vs. suburb preference. I have lived in Cincinnati area for 30+ years. Liberty Township is growing like crazy and you can still find very affordable (around $200k and under) newer houses, the schools are great if you have kids, and there are 2 new hospitals (one is a children's) being built within about a 15 minute drive. Plus there are other hospitals Bethesda North, Mercy Fairfield that are close.

I live in Middletown(between cincinnati & dayton) and love it here..houses for sale are affordable. Middletown Regional just opened their new hospital and the New Childrens hospital in Liberty Twnship is coming along....so many hospital choices though.

Northen Kentucky is very nice and inexpensive. It's very close to Cincinnati also. It only takes me 20minutes to get to work in Cinci with am traffic. Let me know if I can help.
