hello! I will be moving to San Diego soon with my husband. He is in the Navy. Just wondering. What is the average pay rate in that area for LPN's? has anyone come from another state and what would i need to do to get a job there? Are there a lot of jobs? How about hospice? I currently have a year experience working as a crisis care LPN for a hospice company. I would love to stay in that field.

Honestly there's not many jobs right now, even with experience. I can't tell you the pay rate for that area, but I live about two hours north of there and typically pay is higher in my area. When I worked as an LVN I made 20/hr in my area, it's probably less in San Diego. Good luck with the job hunt.

Don't be disappointed if you can't get readily get a job or can't get one at all. The job market in CA is dismal.
