Moving to Az in August

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

My family (Mom and Sister), moved to Arizona last year and have convinced me to give it a shot. I am currently talking with different travel companies to find out what they can offer me in that area. I am an L&D nurse and have worked in hospitals that do as much as 250 births a month down to hospitals that do 40-50 births a month. My family lives in Florence, so I am thinking of something in the east valley. Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about facilities in this area?

Thanks

Heather

I like the old, dumpy towns of AZ such as Florence, Casa Grande, Benson, Sierra Vista and Globe the way they used to be- a bit dumpy, but authentic AZ, and affordable. Now with all these developments, Az has been "Californicated" and very expensive.

If I had to pick one of these towns to live in, it would be Globe!

I just can't see anybody spending any amount of money to live in Florence?!

Yes, our small towns aren't what they used to be. The small az town I used to live in (smaller than Florence) is still quaint and, well....dumpy!

Why must people be so sensitive to the simpliest of comments? Do you know anybody who lives in Florence?? Have you even been there???

I have, and I say, :lol2:

There is plenty of work for all nursing staff in the Phoenix area. You'll have no problem getting a job. Best of Luck To You and Welcome to Arizona.

There are great hospitals in the east valley--Chandler Regional and Gilbert (CHW hospital that is brand new). Great money and decent benefits.
