I will graduate from LPN school in December. My husband and I have talked about moving to OK for a couple of years now, and have now finally found the perfect property. Should we move as soon as I graduate, or should I work here in TN 1st and build some experience before moving. I don't know what the demand is like for nurses there. We will be moving to Northeast OK. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If it were me I would go ahead and move after you graduate. When i was looking for an LPN job here in O.K one of the main things they looked for in my application was a solid work history. You dont want to get a job in TN and then work there for a little while and then have to quit. Most of the places here when i was looking wanted at least a year of experience, so unless you were planning on staying in TN for a whole year and working then I'd say go ahead and move in December again. As far as the demand goes, I dont know about northeast Oklahoma but I know here (OKC) just about every nursing home is looking for LPN's, some even have sign on bonuses. Hope that helps. I know that making a decision to move regardless is stressful and can be hard.
