Hey guys, I'm toying with the idea of moving from outpatient hemo to home therapies (HD or PD). I am very happy with my current position - great pay, 3 (12's), no Sundays, awesome clinic and team.....im just bored and ready for something new. I've been doing the exact same routine from 4am-4pm for nearly 6 years. Any advice, personal experience, tips or words of wisdom???
Thanks!

Change things up, because you can always go back to what you are doing if you don't like home therapies.

I worked in a dialysis unit for 11 years. I changed to home hemodialysis. I love it.

I worked in-center hemo for 12 years (different positions, one as clinical educator) and just started a job with home dialysis teaching both HHD and PD. I absolutely love it....

I'm also hoping to move to PD. I truly believe I will love the job, but am wondering how competitive I am:
1 year outpatient HD experience, 5 years acute rehab/med surg experience.
Would also be applying to DaVita, but my experience is with Fresenius...anybody know how much of a chance I stand? Any advice as to how to wow them and get in?
