When the resident hands their dentures to the cna. The cna offers the resident a cup of water to rinse their mouth & an emesis basin to spit it out. Does the cna give the resident a mouth swab to clean their mouth? If so, do you apply toothpaste to the mouth swab?

A mouth swab is generally only used by dipping in plain water.

You wouldn't need to apply toothpaste to a swab. Are these full or partial dentures? If they're full they wouldn't have any teeth to put toothpaste on after the dentures are out would they Lol.
Generally, you can take the dentures and then give them water and mouthwash and that works fine.

you give them mouthwash and water to rinse/spit. Each patient usually has their own routine so its best to just ask them how they want to do it unless they're confused.
