Mount St. Mary's College Traditional BSN program?

U.S.A. California

Hi everyone, so I've been searching the forums for posts on MSMC's TBSN program and only found posts on the ABSN program... Has anyone else applied/been accepted for Fall '12? Hopefully this post gets some replies :)

Good luck to everyone!!!

Specializes in Peds.

I think around 30% :)

I have about a 3.8-3.9 GPA at a community college and I plan to apply to MSMC's TBSN in the next year! Would you say my chances are good? Do you know what GPA most people are around? I heard they only accept about 10 transfer students and I'm extremely worried.. Sounds super competitive.

Hi gbarreiro,

What was your background when applying for the pre-nursing program at Mount St. Mary's? I am planning on applying as a pre-nursing student, hoping I can get accepted into the ADN or BSN program. Are you coming straight from High School or are you a transfer student? If you don't mind answering, what were your statistics (GPA, work experience, and classes you have taken before entering the university)? Thanks!

Hello, I applied for the Fall 2014 term, do you know when (month/day) you found out you got accepted? Just so I know when to expect to hear from them

i am also thinking about applying to Mount St Mary's College and i have two questions in mind hope you guys can help me. i read that they have an entrance exam, can anyone tell me about it, and also how hard is it for a transfer student to get in. thanks alot

information on the entrance exam can be found by googling "bsn kaplan information mount st. marys"

they accept 10 transfer students out of over 200 applicants. so yeah.. it is pretty difficult to get in, but it's always good to try

thanks joanpant for replying back in time. another question for you. what is the traditional BSN? does that apply to all pre nursing student or only to students that went to mount st mary's college for an associate degree only.

i believe it's for people who don't have an associates

what should the Kaplan score be to get in to the program?

Hi! I am really interest in Mount St. Mary's College BSN program. I attend UNLV right now as a sophomore and I just recently decided that I no longer want to stay here in Vegas. Im a Cali native and I miss my home very much!!! Anyway, since I am a transfer student, is it hard to get in? I have a 3.0 GPA right now, but after this fall semester and the next spring semester, I know it'll go up. I havent taken the teas test yet, but I'm studying for it right now and hoping to get a 90 on it.
