Mount St. Mary ABSN Fall 2019

Hi I wanted to start this topic/group for everyone applying to Mount St. Mary's ABSN Fall 2019. Since applications are due 3/1/2019 I thought it'd be helpful to start this application journey now!

I have science courses that are still in progress till end of July which is worrying me but still worth a try! Anyone has in progress courses? How far are you in your application?

Also, if anyone hasn’t received an invitation yet I wouldn’t worry because it looks like they’re going alphabetically. Plus interviews for all past cohorts have gone out in ‘waves’. Praying for all of you!!

Thank you! I got a 47/50 : / And I completed all of my science requirements but I still had to finish the philosophy/religious studies which I did this past winter quarter. Goodluck!!!

Sorry all, I am so late to this thread but seeing all of this made me really nervous. I haven't received an interview invitation and I took my exam already. I was told that you can still be admitted into the program without an interview but I am a so nervous now and checking the mail like a crazy person. Fingers crossed for everyone that has interviews scheduled!

PS. I spoke with someone from the admissions office and they said that everyone should have a response by mid-June!

I had my interview today and they told us decisions are released on our portals in mid June (she gave a approximate date but I can’t remember I know it was around the time I’m graduating which is June 16th).

Also, when they sent out the invitation they told me my date and time and only sent it a few days before the interview, they are only doing a handful of people at a time (they are coming in waves), I know it’s stressful but try to relax, there’s still time and who knows maybe you won’t need an interview!!

Today was only the first interview day. They’re going alphabetically, so I wouldn’t worry if you haven’t received an invitation. I was told decisions will be up on the portal the week of the 16th and that they’re going to interview over the next three weeks.

I had my interview today and it was pretty rough. The questions asked threw me off and it was not at all what I expected. One of the interviewers was quite rude and it all seemed pretty unprofessional to me. I don’t know, maybe she just didn’t like me. Anyway, decisions will be up soon enough.

It was ok I think. I heard from a friend who went to MSMU that they just did an individual interview with her and only asked a few questions, so that’s what I was expecting. Instead they saw me individually then did a group interview where they asked many questions. At first I was nervous but it was actually helpful because it gave me time to think about my answer and have the support of someone whose just as nervous as me
