Published

hi all! I didn't see a thread started on here yet for Spring 2026 so I thought I'd start one. Has anyone committed to this program yet?

Well I'm a dummy and didn't read the entire email before sending the information. I want to use my own doctor but from what I read and understood, if we do the toxicology with them, the physical is going to be with them too? I may have understood it wrong. Lmk if you do get any additional information. I wonder if we can use our insurance through them too.

No stop! Don't say that.you're not a dummy🤦‍♀️😄. I may be wrong but from my understanding, the toxicology will be done with them. But for the other health assessment, we can choose to use our primary care physician or we can use theirs. Now I wanted to use my primary care physician (which I am guessing will be covered by insurance) but I am skeptical because I don't want any delays or issue.I figured using theirs will be better since this is what they do regularly so they know exactly what to do in a timely manner. I wanted to know the cost to know if I can afford it before I choose but  they just said they'd let me know.

Hey! You don't have to go all the way to Sinai for the toxicology; we can get it done at Quest Diagnostics. Once you complete the Clearance Instructions and select PCP, EHS asks for an email so they can email you the lab requisition form to bring to Quest.

Are you going with your PCP or EHS? Lord! I'm so confused on what to choose 😫

Yeah, but instead of reading the entire email first, I paid for the toxicology and submitted the payment receipt. Wasn't this the process only if you wanted to get it done @ Mt Sinai?

It appears this is what it is.. this was exactly what I was confused about. I think I understand now..so if I am correct, based on the fact that we already paid for the toxicology, it means we may not have the option to choose our PCP anymore. Somebody please help us!😭😅😅

I get the confusion! 😅 From what I understand, paying for the toxicology just covers the drug test part it doesn't affect your PCP choice. You can still use your own doctor for the physical if you want which is what im also doing. The payment is only for the lab test, and EHS just sends you the lab requisition form for Quest once you complete the Clearance Instructions and select PCP.

it's confusing because they said to get the toxicology screening done before you meet with your PCP. I emailed them asking if I could get the lab requisition because I paid for the toxicology screening and no one has replied. Did they send you one already?

This exactly! So we won't even be able to make an appointment with out PCP like right away because we are not sure when the toxicology appt will be set for...Time is of the essence and we need to have this done 100% by December 1st. This is why I am trying to make up my mind fast! I don't wanna go with my PCP and then cry later if it can't be completely done by December 1st. I may just have to select the option to have it done with EHS...I don't know what to do at this point.I don't want anything that'd make me get dropped cos there are so many people waiting to take that spot faster than the speed of lightening 😅 I ain't playing with that at all.NOPE!

Yeah, I was kind of annoyed with the waiting part too, but I emailed EHS and they said they'll be working with Cohort 19 this week, so hopefully we get a response soon. I actually canceled my PCP appointment after I got their email.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean! 😅 I've been stressing about the same thing because of the December 1st deadline too. From what EHS told me, they'll be working with Cohort 19 this week, so hopefully things start moving soon. Once I get my lab requisition form from EHS, I'm planning to set an appointment at the Quest Diagnostics closest to my house you guys can check for locations and make appointments once you guys get the requisition: https://www.questdiagnostics.com/

If anyone is interested, there is a FB page for cohort 19 and I also started a study group for the Math in Medicine exam we have in the first week.
